National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Iran and the Exceptional EducationOrganization recently held a joint meeting to explore ways to enhance
cooperation in promoting sports for individuals with disabilities. The
discussion focused on expanding opportunities for students with disabilities to
participate in organized sports and physical activities.
Commitment
to Inclusive Sports Development
During the
meeting, NPC President Dr. Ghafoor Karegary highlighted the importance of
integrating sports into the education system for students with disabilities.
> “Sports play a crucial role in the physical and mental
well-being of individuals with disabilities. Strengthening our collaboration
will help provide better opportunities for students to engage in sports and
develop their potential,” he stated.
Dr. Salar
Ghasemi, IRI Deputy Minister of Education and the head of the Exceptional Education
Organization emphasized the transformative impact of sports on students with
disabilities. He expressed optimism about future collaborations, stating that
sports can foster confidence, social inclusion, and overall development for
young athletes.
