Iran's National Para Canoe Team Launches 2025 Season Ahead of Milan Worlds and Nagoya Asian Para Games

The Iranian national para canoe team will officially kick off its first training camp of the new Iranian year 1404 from tomorrow at Azadi Lake in Tehran. This camp marks the beginning of the team's preparation for two major upcoming events: the 2025 ICF Paracanoe World Championships in Milan, Italy, and the 2026 Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
The training camp includes standout athletes Shahla Behrouzi-Rad in the women's division, and Saeed Hosseinpour, Eslam Jahadi, and Elyas Barki in the men's division. National team coach Ahmadreza Talebian is overseeing the training sessions, which will continue until April 23, 2025.
The 2025 ICF Paracanoe World Championships are scheduled to be held from August 20 to 24 in Milan. This prestigious international event will serve as a vital platform for para canoeists to demonstrate their skills and compete at the highest level.
