Holding the 22nd General and Electoral Assembly of NPC Iran, the new Governing and Executive boards today were elected in Tehran, Iran at NPC headquarters on 13 December 2022.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Holding the 22nd General and Electoral Assembly of NPC Iran, the
new Governing and Executive boards of IRI National Paralympic Committee were elected in Tehran at NPC
headquarters, today.
The Assembly launched at 9:30 A.M. with the election of a new
NPC governing board and successor to Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa who has led the
organization since 2001.
The NPC Electoral meeting was chaired by Khosravi Vafa and
attended by Iran’s Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs accompanied by two Ministry's Deputies, IRI Olympic Secretory General, representatives of the eight sport
federations, five para sports experts, para-athletes’ representatives, coaches’
representatives, the ex-members of executive and governing board and the NPC's personnel.
During the Assembly, the attending members and officials appreciated Mr. Khosravi Vafa, the former NPC President, for his great efforts during his term of office.
With 39 Votes in favour (out of 50), 10 against and 1 abstention
the assembly elects Dr. Ghafoor Karegary as the new President of Iran
National Paralympic Committee.
The New Governing Board of Iran NPC:
President: Dr. Ghafoor Karegary (39 votes out of 50)
Asbaghian, Pouladgar and Mazloumi withdrew from the election in favor of Karegary.
Karegari and Kouhpayehzadeh competed for the position. Karegari won the race with 39 Votes out of 50, Kouhpayehzadeh earned tens, and one vote out of fifties was abstention.
Men’s Vice President: Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar (36 votes out of
50)
The other candidates for the position were
Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar, Ghafoor Karegary and Hadi Rezaei.
Karegari elected as the NPC's Head and Rezaei withdrew from the
election in favor of Pouladgar.
Women’s Vice President: Maryam Kazemipour (30 votes out of
50)
The other candidates for the position
were Sima Limouchi (13 votes out of 50) and Fariba Mohammadi (5 votes out of
50).
Mozhgan Nasiri, Rogheih Allahkarami and Maryam
Shokouhi also withdrew from the election in favor of Maryam Kazemipour.
The Inspector: Amir Mandegarfard (50 votes)
The other candidates for the position
were Ali Kashfia and Seyed Ghasem Ghasemi who both withdrew from the election in
favor of Mandegarfard.
The Treasurer: Naeimeh Naeimi (50 votes)
The other candidates for the position
were Mohammadtaghi Nami, and Mahdi Goudarzi who both withdrew from the election
in favor Naeimi.
The New Executive Board of Iran NPC:
Ali Kashfia (43 Votes), Seyed Mohammad Shervin Asbaghian (40
Votes), Mohammadreza Mazloumi (38 votes), Mozhgan Nasiri Zahed (36 Votes), Hadi Rezaeigarkani (28 Votes), Rogheih Allahkarami (24 Votes).
