I.R. Iran Sports Federation for the Blind announces, 12 chess players have been called up to upcoming new round of Hangzhou’s National Training Camp.
The national top
para chess players are to attend in the 12th stage of men’s/women’s program
selection camp, set to take place Feb. 2-10 in Tehran.
According to the
IRISFB, the 8-day camp will begin on Thursday, February 2. It will bring
together blind and visually impaired athletes vying for spots on Iran’s national
men’s and women’s teams ahead of Asian Para Games.
The Players’ training
sessions and selection process are led by coaches Behrouz Moradi and Shadi
Paridar, accompanied by Aliakbar Hodhodi as the national teams’ manager.

together with National Paralympic Committee are targeting the well preparation
of the para athletes for attending in the Asian Para Games.
The fourth Asian
Para Games are scheduled to take place between 22 and 28 October in Hangzhou,
China.
At the 2018 Asian
Para Games, Iranian men and women chess players grabbed fourteen medals (4
gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze).
