Iranian females’ para-taekwondo players snatch 5 medals at the 2023 Open Turkish Championships
Iranian females’ para-taekwondo players snatched 5 medals (2 Gold, 2 silver and 1 Bronze) at the 2023 WT President's Cup.


Iranian women para-taekwondo players won 2 gold, 2 Silver and 1 bronze medals at the 2023 Open Turkish Championships underway in Istanbul.

 

Iran's Abdollahpour and Nabavi grabbed two gold medals on 4 February.

Defeating her Turkish rival, Maryam Abdollahpour took a 6-3 victory over Uzbekistan's representative at the final stage of -57 Kg weight class and won the title.

 Mahtab Nabavi also snatched a gold medal at the K41 class.

 

In -57 kg weight class, Rosa Ebrahimi won the host representative and paved her way to the final. Followed by Turkish Ghamzeh, Iran's Ebrahimi stood the second. In +65 kg. weight class also, Iranian Leila Mirzaei achieved silver medal.

 

Meanwhile in the -65 kg category, the other female representative of Iran Romina Chamsourkian also achieved a bronze medal.

 

Iran’s para taekwondo players Saeid Sadeghianpour, Amir Hossein Alizadeh Arab, Amir Mohammad Haghighat Shenas, Hamed Haghshenas and Alireza Bakht are to fight on the men's side, today on February 5, 2023.

Some 107 para taekwondo players are competing at the 2023 Open Turkish Championships in Istanbul's Green Park Hotel & Convention Center.

 

Para taekwondo will also be featured at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Summer Games. A total of 10 events will be staged in the French capital.
