The iconic resort of Iran’s Tochal is
getting very busy from Saturday February 5th through the start of 2023 Para
Skiing Open National Championships with two of the three disciplines Para Alpine
and Para Nordic in action.
The Para Snowboard competitions launches today (6 February).
The first day of para-alpine skiing competitions
have started yesterday morning with Giant Slalom races in men’s, women’s and visually
impaired categories.

About the Venue
Mount Tochal
is a mountain in the Alborz range, adjacent to metropolitan Tehran. The
mountain has a 12 km long ridgeline. The highest peak is Mount Tochal with an
elevation of 3,964 m (13,005 feet).
Shemshak is
the second largest ski area in Iran after Dizin and Darbandsar. It came into
operation in 1958. It includes two chairlifts and three surface lifts.
