athletes, 7 coaches and 5 staff has been participated in the Dubai 2023 World
Para Athletics Grand Prix, 14th Fazza International Para Athletics.
Let’s looking forward to the Iran’s
first and second days at the Competitions:
Iranian Hamed Amiri snatched a gold in F54 men’s javelin throw (30.35 meters). Erfan Bondori came third at the
same class of men’s javelin throw.
Amiri also broke the Asian Para Games’
record in discus throw with 32.14 meters.
Iranian shot putter Yasin Khosravi also
smashed the World and Para Asian record with a 15.46m effort, in men’s F57, and
crowned the world champion.
In men’s discus throw F56, the other
Iranian representative, Malek Zare’ei won the title with 41.05 meters.
In men’s long jump T37, Ali Ashtari
achieved a Bronze.
On women’s side, Iran’s Hanan Kaab
Omeir (F53) stood the second in discus throw with an attempt of 11.40m.
The other Iranian shot putter, Atena Mohammadiha
(F33) also achieved bronze with 6.31m.
The Dubai 2023 GP takes place from 26
February to 1 March (Sunday to Wednesday) with 585 athletes and 42 guides from
60 countries in action.
Also known as the Fazza International
Competition, the event has featured in all GP editions since the inaugural
season back in 2013.
