Iranian para canoeists seized 8 colorful medals at the 2023 Asian Para Canoe Championships in Uzbekistan.
NPC IRAN- Seven representative of Iran para
canoe seized 8 colorful medals (5 Gold and 3 Silver) at the Asian Para Canoe
Championships in Samarqand, Uzbekistan from April 26 to 30, 2023.
Para Men
In Para Men VL2 500m, Eslam Jahedi competed
with canoeists from India, Thailand, Uzbekistan and snatched gold medal with a
record of 2:32:685. He also won the title of KL2 200m.
Other Men’s Iranian representative, Saeid
Hosseinpour claimed the first in Men’s Para KL2 200 meters, winning gold.
Para Women
Defeating rivals from Kazakhstan,
India and Uzbekistan, Shahla Behrouzirad topped the podium (within 2:22:458) in
the Para Women KL3 500 meters. She also achieved a silver in KL3 200 m.
Other Iranian representative Roya
Soltani won the title in Para Women KL2 200m, and a sliver at KL2 500m.
Sara Abdolmaleki also ranked second
in KL1 200 meters.
Iran national team returns home on
May 1st.
