The President of Iran National Paralympic Committee Congratulates men’s wheelchair basketball team achievement in Dubai World Championships.
Iran NPC, Tehran- President Ghafoor Karegary, in a
message, congratulated Iran men’ wheelchair basketball team on their historic bronze
medal triumph at the 2023 IWBF World Championships, in the UAE.
Dr. Ghafoor Karegary said:
“On the behalf of Iran National
Paralympic Committee, I would like to offer a massive congratulation to our
Men’s wheelchair basketball team including the players, coaches, staff, managers and Iran Sports Federation for Persons with disabilities.
Shining of Team Iran at Dubai
International Wheelchair Basketball Federation World Championships and securing
a spot on the IWBF World Podium for Asia and the Country, once again, highlighted
the culture, ethics, dignity and determination of Iranian athletes and youth.

Iran’s men defeat the Netherlands
squad and win their first-ever medal of the World Championships in the IWBF
third-place playoff game today, on 20 June.
