New national para powerlifting camp for female will be held in Tehran.
Iran NPC, Tehran- Women’s para powerlifters to resume their trainings at the six round of national
camp, as Iran Sports Federation for the Persons with Disabilities (IRISFD)
reports.
Following preparations process for Hangzhou
Para Asian Games the four Iranian female athletes are to attend the camp from
June 30 to July 24, 2023, at IRISFD’ Training Hall in Tehran.
Staged by IRISFD in conjunction with
Iran NPC, this camp will be conducted by coaches Saebeh Abaszadeh, Azadeh
Koohdarehei and Souda Arvaneh (as strength & conditioning coach).

Mahdieh Mohammadian, Zeinab Yaghoubi, Zahra Aghaei,
Nikoo Roozbahani.
Through the establishment of women’s national para
powerlifting team, there are glimmers of hope for the Iranian females across
the country.
Being hopeful of making a successful debut at the
Asian Para Games, the Iranian female para powerlifters have also shown a keen
interest toward their first asian step.
The Fourth Asian Para Games will be
held in Hangzhou, China from 22 to 28 October 2023.
