Iranian men’s para powerlifters get call-up to the national team training camp.
Iran NPC, Tehran- Following preparation process of Iran para
powerlifting team for upcoming events, including Hangzhou Para Asian Games and
UAE World Championships, the fifteenth round of national camp set to hold at Noor’s
Training Hall in Markazi province from Friday, 30 June to Thursday, 20 July.
The men’s camp features 11 players, under
head coach Hossein Tavakoli, the former Iranian Olympic champion, and coach
Ahmad Molla Hosseini, during a twenty-day activity.

The 2023 World Para Powerlifting
Championships is scheduled to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 22 to
30 August.
Iran won four gold, four silver and
two bronze medals in men’s powerlifting at the 2018 Asian Para Games. The
Fourth Asian Para Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from 22 to 28 October
2023.
