Iran Women’s Sitting Volleyball finish runner up in Astana 2023.
Iran women’s sitting volleyball team finished in second place
at the 2023 Sitting Volleyball Asia Oceania Championships on Saturday afternoon
at the Jekpe -Jek Sports Centre.
Iran NPC, Tehran- Women’s Team Melli- who had swept all their matches without
dropping a single set, lost to titleholder China 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-11) in
the final match.
Japan bagged the bronze medal of in the women’s competition over
Korea this morning.
Conducted by the Head coach Leila Berianian and coach Tahereh Sadeghian at the event, the IRI female representatives were:
Masoumeh Zarei, Fatemeh Jahani, Zahra Lotfi, Masoumeh Shajarati, Zeinab Maleki, Zahra Danaei, Zahra Nejati Aref, Batoul Khalilzadeh, Fatemeh Abasi, Tayebeh Jafari, Farzaneh Heidari, Mehri Falahi.
Mr. Farid Saebi accompanied the squad as technical advisor.

3 to Saturday 8 July, Asian Zone Championships reunited the 15 best Asia Zone’s
sitting volleyball teams for six days of competition in Astana, including two
divisions of men and women.
