Javanmardi to carry Iran’s Flag at Hangzhou Asian Para Games opening ceremony.
Iran NPC, Tehran– Holder Iranian Sareh Javanmardi selected as the National flag-bearer at the Opening ceremony of the Fourth Asian Para Games (APG), as NPC President announced in his today's press conference.
The 38-year-old shooting para sport's legend, who has recently welcomed to her first baby, will carry the country's flag, to represent Iran at Hangzhou APG's nations parade as a role champion mother.
It will be the second consecutive
Asian Para Games that Javanmardi has had the honour, having also carried it at
the Opening Ceremony of Jakarta 2018. She also was the flagbearer of Iran at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics.
Javanmardi has won three gold Paralympic medals in 2016 and 2020 as well as a bronze London 2012. Her performance at
Rio 2016 saw her voted as the Allianz Best Female Athlete of the Games.
The Fourth Asian Para Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from October 22 to 28, 2023.
