Iran men’s compound open team won a silver medal at 2023 World Para Archery Championships.
Iran NPC, Tehran- National compound open team including Manshaezadeh and Nouri seized a
silver medal at the final match of the World Championships on Saturday July 22nd
and secured their spot in Paris 2024 Games.
The team had previously defeated
France and Turkey to reach the semi. During a challenging semifinal in men’s
compound, Iranian Alisina Manshaezadeh –who had previously qualified for
2024 Paralympics in men’s individual match- alongside his teammate Hadi
Nouri won over the USA with 151-150 and pave their way to the final. The team lost
to China (150-157) and stood the second in Pilsen.
While Iran women’s compound team
finished in fourth with a 142-147 lost to Indians at the 2023 World
Championships.
Iranian Farzaneh Asgari and Maryam
Yavarpoor reached the women’s compound bronze medal match and collected two
more Paris 2024 Paralympic Games quota places for Iran on same day.
Iran’s Mixed recurve team including
Mohammad Reza Arab Ameri and Somayeh Rahimi had been qualified for Paris 2024
Paralympic Games.
The 2023 Para Archery World Championships is running from 17 to 23 July 2023 and nearly 300 athletes from 55 countries compete in Pilsen, Czech Republic where the first quota places for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are awarded.
