Iran defeated Greece at the 2023 men’s Goalball World Championships on Monday.
NPC Iran, Tehran: In Men’s Goalball World Championships, Team Iran won
Greece 8–6 at the Hall One of CBS Arena on Monday (Aug. 21st).
This is the first victory for Iran at
the 2023 Worlds. The squad had previously lost to Ukraine 10-3 in its opening
match.
Team Melli plays against Argentina in
Group B, today on August 22nd at 6.00pm.
A total of 14 men’s goalball teams vying
to lift the trophy at the event.
Group A:
Lithuania, Germany, Japan, Finland, South Korea, Egypt, Britain
Group B:
Iran, US, Turkey, Ukraine, Argentina, Greece, Australia
The competition takes place at the
Coventry Building Society (CBS) Arena in Coventry, England from August 20 to 27.
