Iran men’s goalball national team beat Argentina in Group B of the 2023 Birmingham World Games on Tuesday.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Team Melli faced Argentina in the third group match
of the 2023 Goalball World Championships on Tuesday, August 22nd. The
match ended 9-2 for Iran with Khalil Shahriarnasab scoring 5, Mohsen
Abdolmaleki scoring 4 and Milad Souri scouring 2.
Dreaming of a slot in Paris 2024, it was the second game in a row by Bahman Dousti Vala players which was accompanied
by a victory. They had previously won Greece on Monday.
Their first attempt ended in a loss to Ukraine at the opening match of Group B.
Today, on August 23rd, Team Iran plays against USA (1.00pm) and
Australia (6.00pm) at Hall Two of Coventry
Building Society (CBS) in Coventry, Birmingham, England.
A total of 14 men’s goalball teams vying to lift the trophy
at the event from August 20 to 27, 2023.
