Team Iran at the Fourth Asian Para Games: Women’s Para Powerlifting
Iran NPC, Tehran: The four debutants are to represent Iran in Women’s
Para Powerlifting event of Hangzhou APG at the Xiaoshan Sports Center Gymnasium.
This is the first time that Iranian
women’s Para Powerlifters will head into an Asian Para Stage to compete with the
world’s best athletes asserting their status through incredible power and
technique when the Para Powerlifting events get underway in Hangzhou on October
23, 2023.
The official women’s roster for the Fourth
Asian Para Games reads as follows:
Mahdieh Mohammadian, Zeinab Yaghoubi,
Zahra Aghaei and Nikoo Roozbahani
Technical Staff
National Coach Saebeh Abbaszadeh will
conduct Iran’s squad at the event.
Both the men’s and women’s
competitions are expected to be thrilling rounds with the presence of
Paralympic and World champions in the line-up of 173 athletes from 31 nations
competing for 20 gold medals at the Xiaoshan Sports Centre Gymnasium.
