Iran’s sitting volleyball team topped the podium at Cairo, Egypt on Saturday.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Keeping their winning streak, Iranian players collected another gold to their trophies with a victory at final match of the 2023 WPV Sitting Volleyball World Cup on 18 November. Iran’s men topped the podium after
their 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-17) win over hosts Egypt, completing their
tournament sweep.
The team had previously defeated Japan,
Algeria, Iraq, Ukraine to reach the final match.
Concluding the events, Iran’s Meisam Alipour was awarded as the best Server while Davoud Alipourian was selected as the best Setter and MPV player of the court.

Iran’s
rosters at the competition were as follows:

Among the participating teams who
have already secured their tickets to the Paris Paralympics is world champion
Iran, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as host France. Egypt advanced to 2024 Paralympics as
the second team.
