Team Iran snatched three silver and two bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Day 8 on Thursday Sept. 5.

Judo athlete Meysam Banitaba won a silver medal in the Men’s -60kg Judo competition. Algerian Abdelkader Bouamer was able to earn a waza-ari win over Banitaba in the final match.
Ali Pirouj seized a silver medal at the men’s javelin throw – F13 with a throw of 69.74 meters. Sajad Nikparast came fifth in the event.
Discus thrower Hassan Bajoulvand sized a silver medal in the men's discus throw - F11 with a throw of 41.75 meters. Mahdi Olad finished in fourth place in the event.
Mohsen Bakhtiar won a bronze medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games in the men’s 59kg powerlifting competition. Amir Jafari finished in fourth place in the men’s up to 65kg.
Aliasghar Javanmardi won a bronze medal in the men’s shot put – F35 with a throw of 15.84 meters.
Iran sitting volleyball team defeated Egypt 3-1 (25-14, 25-15, 20-25, 25-8) in the 2024 Paralympic Games semifinals.
Iran’s mixed team recurve open failed to qualify for the semifinal, losing to Turkish team.
