Paris 2024 Paralympics | Iran's Rostami Tops the Podium and Set the World Record
Iran's Rouhollah Rostami claimed his second Paralympic title at Paris 2024, on Friday.

On the day nine of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Iran's Para Powerlifter Rouhollah Rostami topped the podium at Porte de La Chapelle Arena on Friday (6 September).  
The Tokyo 2020 title holder Rostami improved his own world record by one kg with his third successful lift of 242kg in men’s up to 80kg.
Chinese powerlifter Xiaofei Gu won the silver with 225kg and Iraq's Rasool Mohsin settled for the bronze on 215kg.
It was Iran’s fourth gold in the Games.
Iran’s Mohsen Bakhtiar had previously won a bronze medal in the men’s up to 59kg in his Games.
