With less than two years to go until opening of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026, the Asian Paralympic Committee (AsPC)’s Coordination Committee met in Japan.

 With less than two years to go until the start of the fifth Asian Para Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, the AsPC’s Coordination Committee met in Japan to take stock of the ongoing preparations. This second meeting provided an opportunity to assess the significant progress made.

 At the meeting, the committee members were updated on progress in other essential aspects of the Games preparations including the sports, accommodation, protocol, security, media and marketing, and also, welcomed the pace of progress since their last visit.

 The AsPC delegations which included President Majid Rashed, Chair of the Games and Sport Development Committee Dr. Nasanbat Oyunbat and CEO Tarek Souei toured the venues for the games, hotels that will be used as the athletes’ village, the airport and welcome centre.

The fifth Asian Para Games will take place in Japan from 18 to 24 October 2026, featuring 18 sports with an estimated 3600 – 4000 athletes and team officials attending.
