Mirshafiei secures Paris 2024 quota after fourth-place finish at World Championships

Iran's Seyyed Mohammadreza Mirshafiei secured a quota for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games in P4 final match at the Para Shooting World Championships, today.
Mirshafiei, who had recently grabbed the gold medal in P1 at the Changwon 2022 World Cup, finished 4th in P4- Mixed 50m Pistol SH1- at World Championships in Al Ain, UAE, on Monday 14 November.
He finished with a score of 176.1, North Macedonia’s Olivera Nakovska-Bikova (216.5) clinched gold, Oleksii  Denysiuk (215.3) of Ukraine got silver while Cevat Karagol (193.5) of Turkey took bronze.
 
Nasrin Shahi from Iran had previously booked her place at the 2024 Paralympics by winning a silver medal at the P2 - women's 10m air pistol SH1.
