The eighth round of national wheelchair basketball training camps for men will be held on 7 to 14 March in Tehran.
National camp set to prepare the wheelchair
basketball men’s players in Tehran will take place in March.
Organized by Iran Sports Federation
for the Persons with Disabilities with NPC’s partnership, these camps aim to
help prepare the men’s squad for attending in the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball
World Championships and Asian Para Games.
The eighth round of national
wheelchair basketball training camp will provide an intense seven-day camp
environment for learning and development, and selection process.
Sixteen male athletes who wish to
progress in the national pathway will participate in the camp from 7 March.
Head coach Mohammadreza Dastyar will
provide an elite training environment and athletes evaluation. The coaches Abbas
Khaki and Adel Torfi and fitness coach Yaser Gilaki assisted him at the camp.

IWBF World Championships
will be held in UAE, Dubia from 9 – 20 June 2023.
The draw for the 2022
IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships took place at the Dubai Sports
Council on Wednesday 8 February and Iran’s Men squad have been drawn alongside
USA, Great Britain and Iraq in Group D of the competitions.
The Senior Men’s National
Team is the defending Asian title. The team ranked fourth at the previous
Championships in 2018.
