The wheelchair basketball world championships underway this week!
IRAN NPC, Tehran- The IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World
Championships takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 9-20 June 2023,
featuring as many as 300 players from 20 countries.
Iran senior men’s national squad
faces Great Britain in its first match of the UAE 2023 World Championships,
today. The match kicks off on June 10 at 2:30PM local time in
Dubai.

Iranian Men’s national players ranked
fourth at the 2018 Germany World Championships.
The team also topped the podium
at the third Asian Para Games in Jakarta.

Group C: Netherlands, Argentina, Korea, France,
Group D: USA, Great Britain, Iran,

The men’s tournament has 16 teams,
including Tokyo 2020 Paralympic gold medallists, Team USA and silver medallists
Japan.
