Iran defeats France at the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships, today.
NPC IRAN, Tehran: The Third Asian Para Games gold medallists hold off French's progress to the IWBF World quarter-finals in Dubai.
Concluding the knockout rounds of International Wheelchair Basketball Federation World Championships, Iran's men move forward to the last eight, after an 89-79 victory over the French side, today on 15 June.
Iran had finished his group stage matches with two losses to world
champion Britain and Tokyo Paralympic champion the USA, and a victory over
Iraq. The squad had also won France at the knockout stage to move for
quarterfinal game.
Iran's men will face Germany at the quarter-finals, tomorrow on June 16th.
The Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Iran, Canada, Italy, Great Britain and the USA have advanced to the quarter-finals of the ongoing IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships, in Dubai, the UAE, from June 9 to 20, 2023.
