Iran retains its title in the ParaVolley Asia Oceania Sitting Volleyball Championships, today.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran- Men's Team Melli retained its title in the ParaVolley Asia Oceania Sitting Volleyball Championships with a straight-set (25-21, 25-14, 28-17) win over the hosts national team in Astana, on Saturday.

The 2023 PVAO Championships came to an end at the Jekpe -Jek Sports Centre today and, Hadi Rezaei's players reasserted their reign to claim the men’s title, as they had strongly defeated all their rivals without dropping a single set.

The squad, having booked Iran Men's ticket for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games after winning the 2022 ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Championships title and, gave way for Kazakhstan to claim the available spot as the next highest ranked team in the Asia Oceania zonal championships.

China also completed their bid in the men’s competition as bronze medallists, after taking a 3-1 triumph against Iraq.

Sadegh Bigdeli, Davoud Alipourian, Mahdi Babadi, Majid Lashgari, Hossein Golestani, Mohammad Nemati, Jamal Nazari, Masoud Emami, Ali Rezaei, Ghasem Delfi, Meisam Hajbabaei.

 

The 2023 ParaVolley Asia Oceania Zone Championships in both men's and women's categories was held in Astana, Kazakhstan from July 3 to 8.
