Iranian females have been called up for the 22nd round of Sitting Volleyball training camp.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran: The 22nd round of national training camps for women’s sitting volleyball will be launched on Monday in Markazi Province of Iran, as Iran Sports Federation for the Persons with Disabilities (IRISFD) reports.

New camp is to kick off from 18 September under the supervision of head coach Leila Berianian, assisted by national coach Tahereh Sadeghian along with the technical advisor Farid Saebi, until 26 September.

Players at the camp:

Masoumeh Zarei, Fatemeh Jahani, Zahra Lotfi, Hadis Rezaei, Zeinab Maleki, Zahra Danaei, Zahra Nejati Aref, Batoul Khalilzadeh, Fatemeh Abbasi, Tayebeh Jafari, Farzaneh Heidari, Mehri Fallahi.

Staged by IRISFD with Iran NPC’s partnership, the camp aims at preparing Team Melli for the upcoming events.

The next stop for our female players will be Hangzhou, China, where they will compete against their rivals at the Fourth Edition of the Asian Para Games, taking place from October 22 to 28, 2023.

The squad has recently finished runner-up at the 2023 Sitting Volleyball Asia Oceania Zone Championships.

The team also grabbed a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Para Games.
