Team Iran at the upcoming Hangzhou Asia Para Games: National Women's Sitting Volleyball
Iran NPC, Tehran: Winning the runner-up at the recent 2023 Para Volleyball Astana Asia-Oceania Zone Championships, Iranian Women's Team will head into the Fourth Asian Para Games.
Hangzhou's Sitting Volleyball competition will take place at the Linping Sports Centre Gymnasium from October 23 to 27, 2023, and National Women will be hoping to knock Chinese rivals off their perch and emulate the success of their men's team.
Also in the women's event are Japan, Korea, Mongolia and Thailand.
The official roster for Hangzhou APG reads as follows:
Zeinab Maleki, Zahra Danaei, Masoumeh Zarei, Farzaneh Heidari, Zahra Nejati Aref, Tayebeh Jafari, Hadis Rezaei, Mehri Fallahi, Batoul Khalilzadeh, Zahra Lotfi, Fatemeh Abbasi, Fatemeh Jahani.
Technical Staff
Team Iran will be led by Head Coach Leila Berianian, who is assisted by the Technical Advisor Farid Saebi. I. R. Iran Sports Federation for the Enabled's Vice-President Mozhgan Nasirizahed will also accompany them, as the Team Manager.
Women's Squad had also grabbed a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Para Games.
