Team Iran at the Fourth Asian Para Games: Men's Goalball
Iran NPC, Tehran: A total of six athletes with a vision impairment will head to Hangzhou
for representing Team Iran in Men's Goalball event of the Fourth Asian Para
Games.
Iran men’s players will be hoping to make it three Asian Para Games titles in a row. The squad have won gold in 2010, silver in 2014 and again gold in 2018.
China Goalball Training Base will host the players during a five-day competition from
October 23 to 27, 2023.
The official roster for Hangzhou APG reads as follows:
Khalil Shahriarnasab, Milad Soori, Mahdi Abbasi, Mostafa
Shahbazi, Hasan Jafari, Nematollah Sarafraz.
Technical Staff
The squad will be conducted by Head Coach Bahman
Doustivala and Coach Mohammad Karam Koulivand at the event. Iran Blind Federation President Mohammareza Mazloumi will
also accompany the Para athletes and technical staff as the Team Manager.
Men’s Goalball competition will see
eight teams from across Asia taking part with Jordan returning to the
competition after missing out in 2018 and Saudi Arabia competing for the first
time.
