Team Iran collected two silver medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, in Day 2, on Friday 30 Aug.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran: 30 August- 2024 Paralympics

PARIS – Iranian teams and athletes competed in Day 2 of 2024 Paralympic Games underway in Paris, France.

Team Iran kicks off Paris 2024 with win in Goalball and Sitting Volleyball.

Goalball defeated the host France in Pool A, 12-8, and Sitting Volleyball also swept past Ukraine 3-0 in Pool B.

Parastoo Habibi won a silver medal in the Women's Club Throw - F32.

Zafar Zaker also earned a silver medal in Men's shot put -F55, while Hamed Amiri failed to win medal in the same event and finished seventh.


In Para Swimming, Sina Zeighaminejad came eighth in the Men's 100m Breaststroke SB9 and Shahin Izadyar failed to qualify for the final of the Men's 100m Breaststroke SB9.

Para Archer Alisina Manshaezadeh failed to advance to final in the individual compound while Hadi Nouri booked his place in the final.

Taekwondo athlete Saeid Sadeghianpour was knocked out of the Games in the -63kg after losing to his Brazilian rival.

Shooter Mohammadreza Mirshafiei finished in eighth place in the P1- 10 meter air pistol SH1 and female Roghayeh Shojaei in SH1 failed to qualify for the R2 final match.
