President Pezeshkian Hails NPC of Iran for Receiving 2025 IPC Women’s Day Award

The National Paralympic Committee of Iran has been recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as the leading national body in 2025 for the development of women’s sports.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran:

The award was announced as part of the IPC’s International Women’s Day celebrations, highlighting organizations and individuals driving progress in gender equality in para sports. The IPC commended Iran’s National Paralympic Committee for its effective leadership, transformative strategies, and targeted support that have significantly expanded opportunities for women and girls with visual impairments and other disabilities to participate in sport.

In response to this international recognition, Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian sent a formal letter of congratulations to Dr. Ghafoor Karegary, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Iran. He praised the committee’s efforts and expressed hope for continued success in upcoming events and initiatives.

This marks a major milestone for Iran’s Paralympic movement and reflects the country’s growing commitment to inclusion and gender equity in sport.
