Team Iran at the Fourth Asian Para Games: Women’s Para Taekwondo
Iran NPC, Tehran: A total of six Para athletes will head to Hangzhou
to represent Team Iran as its debutants Taekwondoins in Women’s event of the
Fourth Asian Para Games.
Iran Women's Para Taekwondoins are to
fight at the Asian Para Games, for the first time, in the Xiaoshan Guali
Sports Center from October 23 to 25, 2023.
The official women’s roster for Hangzhou
APG reads as follows:
Maryam Abdollahpour, Roza Ebrahimi, Leila
Mirzaei, Romina Chamsouraki, Mahdieh Sadat Hosseini and Narges Javadi.
Technical Staff
Women’s team will be conducted at the
Games by Head coach Atefeh Keshavarz and Coaches Zahra Hosseini.
The President of I.R. Iran National
Taekwondo Federation Hadi Saei will accompany the Para athletes and technical
staff as the Team Manager.
The squad has recently finished as the runner-up at
the 2023 European Para-Taekwondo Championship in Montargis, France.
The Games will feature 22 sports which are split into
many events, including Para Taekwondo which is added to the APG programme in
Hangzhou, for the first time.
