Day 7- Iran's Saeid Afrooz broke own world record and added his first world gold to the Paralympic title in Paris’23, today.
Iran NPC, Tehran- In Charlety Stadium on Friday's morning session (14 July), Iran's paralympic and world champion F34 Javelin thrower Saeid Afrooz broke own world record in his third attempt.
With a golden throw of 40.27m on day seven, Afrooz made his world title debut at 2023 Paris Championships.
The second and third places went to Mauricio Valencia (38.01) and Diego Meneses (37.84) of Colombia.
The 2023 World Para Athletics Championships is underway in Paris from 8 and 17 July, serving as a qualifier for the next year’s Paralympic Games.
