Holder GB ended Iranian world championships dream of closing to the final with a 64-44 victory to book their second consecutive final meeting with the USA at Dubai World Trade Center Hall, today on 18 June.
Iranian men will also fight the Netherlands in the third-place playoff game for a historic world medal on Tuesday, 20 June, at 9:30 AM (local time).
Iran had finished his group stage matches with two losses to Britain and the USA, and a victory over Iraq. The squad had also won France and Germany to head into the semi-final game.
It is the second consecutive time after Hamburg Wheelchair Basketball WHC that Iran progress to the world championships semi-finals, as the first Asian men’s team.
