Day 9- Iran's Khosravi sets new world record and took the lead of F57 shotput on 16 July.
Iran NPC, Tehran- It was a sweet Sunday evening (16 July) for Iranian Yasin Khosravi on day nine of the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in Paris at Charlety Stadium.
The 30-year-old shot putter claimed his first world gold and hit the new heights with his winning throws in men's F57.
Khosravi smashed world record in his four attempts and set 16.01 on the field.
Brazilian Paralympic bronze medallist Thiago Paulino dos Santos with his best season stood behind in 15.09 and Finish Teijo Koopikka took bronze in 14.80.
Team Iran have already collected eight colorful medals (4 gold, 3 silver and one bronze) at the events.
The Tenth Edition of Paris Para Athletics World Championships is taking place between 8 and 17 July 2023, serving as the qualifier for next year’s Paralympic Games.
